Rare .50 cal practice spotter tips, inert - no tracer or incendiary filler, 817 grain, overall length 2.70 IN., no pull marks. This is a well center balanced bullet. Lead core with steel plug in rear, point of bullet is filled with a small amount of sodium carbonate which produces a white spot when hitting a steel target. This tip was used for training and practice as a substitute for the M48 series spotter tracer because it was cheaper to produce.
